Becoming a Staff Member
In this thread, you will be informed on how to become a staff member and based on your experience of managing message boards and our necessity for filling a certain Staff position, you will be able to apply for a Staff Position. Staff Promotions are also described in detail in the paragraphs below.
This board has the folliwing Staff positions available:
Note: Board access settings and board permissions for all staff member groups are described in the Staff forum in detail.
Let's start with the Administration staff member group. Staff members in the Administration staff member group don't have Admin CP access except for banning a member, warning a member or managing reported threads & posts. Minimum board software knowledge is necessary to apply and be accepted to the position. Staff Members in the Administration group are basically Super Moderators, but are backed up and supported by the Staff Members in higher staff member groups, since their staff involvment doesn't go beyond forum moderation. However, their authority on the board and their decisions are not to be questioned if they comply with the Global Forum Rules.
The Medium Administration staff member group has a bigger responsibility and much higer autority. Limited Admin CP access is enabled for the Staff members in this position. The Medium Administrators have a lot more control over the contents on the board and over the discussion participants in forum threads and replies. Basic board software and Admin CP knoweldge is required to apply and be accepted by the Staff Members in higher member groups.However, for certain tasks and situations, the Medium Administretors must work closely with the Administration and the High Administration staff member groups in order to reach a certain decision that involves the future of the board and its members. Their authority and their decisions on the board represent mutal principles, opinions and feelings of all staff members. Like the Staff Members in the Administration staff member group. the Staff Members in the Medium Administration staff member groups must closely follow the Global Forum Rules when preforming their staff duties. Otherwise, for any potential wrong doing or caused injustice to a member or fellow Staff member they must answer to the Staff members in the High Administration staff member group.
The High Administration staff member group is the staff member group that leads TWB. Full Admin CP access and unlimited permissions and authority come with the position, as explained in the previous two paragraphs above. The Staff Members in this group must work closely with the Staff members from lower staff member groups, since they make one team, one brain and one heart of the community. To be able to apply and be accepted as a High Administrator, you must either have full board software and Admin CP knowledge so you can easily preform any and all Administrator tasks and help resolve any issues/problems with the help of all Staff Members or advanced board knoweldge if you are interested in doing Themes, codes or Plugins for the TWB. The High Administrators must never act on their own in important decisions for the board, such as:
- adding new sections to the board;
- adding new content to the board;
- managing exsiting forum sections;
- managing existing contents;
- resolving issues inbetween members;
- resolving issues inbetween Staff Members;
- resolving issues inbetween members and Staff Members;
- managing member accounts;
- providing forum support;
- submitting a F.A.Q. thread in the F.A.Q. forum;
- changing or only modifying the Global Forum Rules;
- modifying/remving existing features and functions;
- adding new features and functions;
- forum clean-ups;
- member profile clean-ups;
- changing of the direction and/or theme of the community.
The authority and the decisions of the High Administrators on the board represent mutal principles, opinions and feelings of all staff members and members, since High Administrators are required to come out to and consult other members of the board for certain things when making an important decision about the board's future plans and future.
The Staff members and the members of this community represent one brain, one heart and one team. One forum community.
